Volunteer
Thank you to all of our volunteers from prior year's events. Without our volunteers this event would not be possible. We are looking for event volunteers to help with the following:
-
Welcome Table to welcome event participants throughout the day.
-
Competition Spotters Each round needs about 7-12 spotters. Our spotters are the ones circulating the competition floor and recording finishing times. There are times where spotters can sit, but volunteers for this role should be comfortable on their feet. Spotting rounds range from 90 minutes to 2.5 hour blocks.
-
Local Errands is a good role for someone who has access to a vehicle and is familiar with the local area. Local errands will be within a 15 minute drive of the venue. If possible, we may ask for some support pre-purchasing some items which will be fully refunded.
Volunteer appreciation: A volunteer who is scheduled for at least one round of spotting will receive a thank you gift from the CJPA.
Hotel Options
There are many hotels in the area near the competition. We have not blocked rooms as there are many options.
Food and beverage
Participants are welcome to bring snacks and/or lunch. Food is not provided or available at the event venue.
