Jigsaw Puzzle Competition

Eligibility to ParticipateTo be eligible to participate, participants must be Canadian citizens or residents of Canada. We welcome participants of all ages to participate but any children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times at the venue.Eligibility of Regional Competition towards CJPA RankingAll regional event competitions, individual division results, will count towards a participants CJPA ranking, whether eligible for podium prizes or not. Eligibility for Podium Positions 1. Individual EventTo be recognized as a Regional Top 3 Individual Champion, and be eligible for podium positions, prizes and regional titles, a participant must be:A resident of the province in which the competition is being held, orA resident of a province/territory in which no regional event is organized in the current competition year and this is their first regional event with the CJPA in the competition year.Competition years run from "after Nationals" to "Nationals", generally June - May each calendar year.A participant is only eligible to podium in the individual division at one regional event per competition year.2. Pairs EventTo be recognized as a Regional Top 3 Champion Pair, and be eligible for podium position, prizes and regional titles:At least one member of the pair must be a resident of the province/region where the competition is being held or a resident of a province/territory in which no regional event is organized in the current competition year.  The other participant must be a Canadian citizen or resident 3. Team EventTo be recognized as a Regional Top 3 Champion Team, and be eligible for podium positions, prizes and regional titles:At least two members of the team must be residents of the province/region where the competition is being held or a resident of a province/territory in which no regional event is organized in the current competition year. Remaining participants must be Canadian citizens or residents. 4. VerificationAt the time of registration, participants may be asked questions to identify their current eligibility status. While the CJPA hopes to run our eligibility based on the honour system, should eligibility come into question, proof of eligibility may be requested by the CJPA which could includeA Canadian passportCanadian ID with home address, or clarity of residency (ie. drivers license or provincial health card)a utility bill in your namefor minors, a student card or a parent/guardian may be asked to provide proof of residence Failure to provide adequate documentation may result in forfeiture of position.

Individual: $40 + tax Pairs: $50 + tax Teams: $60 + tax

Individual Division Participants will get to keep their competition puzzle Participants complete a 500 piece puzzle Participants have 2 hours to try and complete their puzzle Prizes are awarded for the top three eligible competitors All registered participants are entered to win our giveaway puzzles

Pairs Division Participants will get to keep their competition puzzle Teams of two will complete a 500 piece puzzle Participants have 1.5 hours to try and complete their puzzle Prizes are awarded for the top three eligible pairs All registered participants are entered to win our giveaway puzzles

Teams Division Participants will get to keep their competition puzzle Teams of 3 - 4 will complete a 1000 piece puzzle Teams have 2.5 hours to try and complete their puzzle Prizes are awarded for the top three eligible teams All registered participants are entered to win our giveaway puzzles

Yes! If you check out our event schedule, you will see our events are run at different times in the day so you may participate in all three events.

Prizes include a medal & a puzzle and are awarded to the top three eligible finishers in each division. For more information on what makes a participant eligible for podium prizes, please view our eligibility criteria. In addition to podium prizes, each round will have select random puzzle giveaways. All registered participants are eligible to win.

At the time of registration, there will be three separate forms and you may only register one person, pair or team per form. Individual Registration Pairs Registration Team Registration For the pair and teams event, if you know your teammates, have their names (correct spelling etc), province of residence, and email addresses ready. In addition speak to your teammates so that you can confirm on their behalf the photography permissions and eligibility as a Canadian citizen or resident. If you are registering but do not know the name of your teammates, please notify us as soon as possible, but at least one month prior to the competition date for us to prepare registration materials for the event.
