Puzzle Sprints

What are Puzzle Sprints?

Puzzle Sprints are a timed challenge using a preselected 500-piece puzzle. Participants purchase the designated puzzle and complete it as many times as they wish, aiming to achieve their personal fastest time. This is inspired by the USAJPA's Speed Runs.

Attempts may be completed individually, as a pair, or as a team of 3 or 4 puzzlers. Enter as many times as you want in as many divisions as you’d like.

Various challenges will be shared with participants and result in prizes and random giveaways throughout the season. More details to come.

Additionally, prizes will be awarded to the top finishers from each category. A selection of top finishers will be invited to participate in the Puzzle Sprint Showcase at Nationals 2027.

The deadline for submissions for the 2026 - 2027 season is April 15, 2027.

Particpation may be "verified" or "unverified".
To be eligible for prizes and giveaways submissions must be verified.

Some participants may choose to submit multiple attempts, with some unverified and others verified.

How to participate as a "verified" puzzle sprinter:

Participants will need a timer and a device to record a time-lapse video.
Purchase the Puzzle Sprint puzzle.
Complete it as many times as you like in any of the divisions and record your attempt with a time-lapse video
Complete the submission form on our website to submit your results.

How to participate as an unverified puzzle sprinter:

Participants will need a timer.
Purchase the Puzzle Sprint puzzle.
Complete it as many times as you like in any of the divisions and take note of the time.
Complete the submission form by submitting your finishing time. You do not need to upload a photo or video.

What is the 2026-2027 Puzzle Sprint puzzle and how can I purchase it?
We are excited to partner with Deborah Waltman of Paperflower Puzzles for our first Puzzle Sprint puzzle. This is a 500 piece, ribbon cut puzzle with a matte finish and quality piece cut. The title of the puzzle is Serene.
